Early Morning Rain Douses Much of Polk

LAKELAND | Early morning rains dropped much-need rain on parts of Polk County, mostly in the area between Lakeland and Haines City and in North Polk, according to Bay News 9 meterologists.

Bay News 9 recorded two-thirds of an inch of rain in downtown Lakeland since midnight.
A check with law enforcement agencies around the county found no reports of flooding problems.
