Commission to Broaden Search for New EMTs

The County Commission is launching a program to recruit a more diverse group of candidates to work as emergency medical technicians.

The County Commission voted Wednesday to approve spending $36,322 this year to pay for salaries and training costs. The annual cost of the program in future budget years is estimated to be $145,288, according to county officials.
