10 Books Every American Needs to Read

(Hopefully the link works, I found the list on a news app and had to go online to find the story to post the link.)

I'm not sure who decided on the list but I found it interesting. While I'm an avid reader, I'm pretty bad about reading classics, I've downloaded a bunch on Kindle only to keep putting off reading them. Out of the list of these ten that someone has decided are must reads I've only read a couple. Gone With the Wind is one of them and has been my all time favorite for years and years. I've read it many times and while I like the movie, it's one of those I like the book so much more. Some titles I'd heard of but didn't even know what they were about, the description of a couple has me curious to read them now.

Has anyone read all 10? Any of them you recommend? Any to add to the list of must reads for Americans?
