A Mommy in need of help.
I am a mom of a wonderful 5 almost 6 year old little boy. For the past 5 years I have been fighting his biological dad in court to keep him away from my son. We recently got Judge Roger Alcott as our judge. He is a very biased judge, he wouldnt listen to my testimony or take into consideration the well being of my son. Last week he awarded him basically unsupervised visitation even though he has only ever spent 50 hrs with him in the last 5 yrs and they have always been supervised. I know there must be other mothers out there that have delt with this judge and been ruled against even though the other party was doing everything wrong. He has been arrested for domestic violence against myself and my son when he was 16 days old. He is currently on probation for a dui and drug charge and has an immobilization device on his vehicle. My son is terrified to be left alone with him. The point of this post is to try to find and get together as many mothers as I can that have had Judge Alott as their judge and try to get this man off the bench before a child is hurt or killed. You say he has been arrested for domestic violence against you and your son. Was he convicted? Did you have a restraining order before/after the conviction?

ditto MonsterMom. If you can show a PPO/TRO, then the judge SHOULD help at least with supervised visitation. AS far as the previously supervised visitations, what judge ordered that? Can you have something in writing from one judge to another?

Yes..the joys of our judicial system great at work, supposedly for the "best interest of the child"! Ha! I to had Judge Alcott for a hearing in regards to back medical bills, back credit card bills and back child support, however I won my case against my ex-husband under Judge Alcott. But, I like you tried to protect my son. I had pictures, certified counselor testimony, multiple restraining orders for both of us, but NONE of it mattered. I went before Judge Masters( a woman, I guess a mother herself , though not sure of it) I had a court ordered supervisor of visitation over my ex and my son tell her that he recommended supervised visitation under another mutual supervisor, not family, after my ex lost his temper during a visit with this man supervising the 1 hour visit. She ignored it and allowed his family to supervise. My son also has a life threatening illness, that neither dad or family were familiar with. There was also another lady judge that lifted a restraining order. DCF ignored everything as well. I've been there. It's horrible to live in it!!
