Polk Moms

Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.

Long story short, when we moved back to MI in 09, I sold all our furniture.  Every bit of it, except our older son's bed which we had just purchased.  We find ourselves without a couch still......and we've been in our apartment since JUNE!

With the tax refund season upon us, I'd like to get some furniture (new) and I'm considering American Freight.  I've seen the commericals, but I don't know anyone that's bought there.  I've looked at Rooms to Go as well.  I'd like more than just a couch, but I don't want to spend a ton either.

I recently went there to purchase furniture, although it was packed. Some of the pieces appeared ok, it just depends on what you're looking for. I went to Ashley Furniture, they have a clearance section, the furniture has good quality as well. You can get a sofa and love seat for 599.00. They have a beautiful red sectional there which I think I've decided to purchase on Monday.

Good Luck

We'll check out Ashley as well, thanks.

We bought from Rooms to go and Ashley furniture and felt like the Ashley Furniture was better quality as well. We also had to swap out part of an armoir with RTG bc it was scratched when they brought the first one and they had to mail us a new leg to one of the couches bc one didn't match the others. It wasn't a huge deal. I mean we still love the furniture but I thought it was a little annoying.

Rooms to Go has a great clearance warehouse near brandon, off of I-4, we got our couch there a couple of years ago for a huge discount and have not been disappointed.

I would not recommend Rooms To Go.  Every piece of furniture we have purchased has broken.  Also, if you purchase furniture and you find something wrong with it just 2 weeks later and we had to move, but we called and told them about it and told them we had to move they said that rules out your warranty and wont replace it after paying the extra warranty on it.  They said it has to be in the same house for the warranty to cover it.  They will not give any discounts or work with you either.  Ashley has more elegant beautiful furniture and they will deal with you.  I bought a 14 piece set of furniture for 799.00.  That was couch, loveseat, coffee table, 2 end tables, 2 lamps, area rug, throw, picture frame, box, 3 candle holder, and 2 design pieces.
