Anyone signing on for Rick Scott's Twitter Town Hall later?

He is hosting a twitter Q&A later this evening on twitter.com

If you don't have a twitter account - might be worth signing up to see what he has to say to constituents - or even ask a question or two yourself?

I can't tune in because I have a meeting shortly - but I've followed him on twitter so I can check back and see what was discussed.

If any of you tune in - tell us what you thought!

His twitter account is @flgovscott

I almost signed up for a twitter account just for this but I have no idea of how twitter even works
So, just checked back on what happened in his Twitter townhall - and the answer is 'not a heckuvalot'! Very few people asked questions - at least that I could see - and in 'answering' the questions, he didn't answer the questions.

I would say Twitter is the perfect venue for politicians to interact with constitutents.

You didn't miss much Alicia - but you should check out twitter - it is kind of cool. I used to use it a lot more frequently than I do now, but I pop in from time to time.

Governor Scott retweets jack*** comment. http://www.wtsp.com/news/topstories/story.aspx?storyid=169822&c...

Apparently he picked some questions to post and address, one of which was someone calling him, well you know. It must have been an accident, it was removed.

See below screenshot of Scott's Twitter Town Hall on Jan 20th - scroll down to see his response to the question about making a High Speed Rail decision.  Very interesting in light of his statement yesterday.

A politician going back on his word?  Imagine that...

I can't stand the man.  I've voted Republican in every prior gubernatorial election, but something about him just rubbed me the wrong way (the medicare fraud?  his denial of responsibility?  his mother telling us he's "a good boy"?  Oh let me count the ways...).  I literally felt sick to my stomach when he was elected, and the feeling hasn't improved.

This high speed rail issue, especially how he went back on his word to wait for the TAXPAYER FUNDED STUDY, just confirms what I already knew.  Sadly, I can't share the details of my opinion as they are primarily unprintable :)  On Facebook, I left it at "ick".  Understatement of the century, but it'll do.
