Vaccines are causing mutations, creating a similar problem as antibiotics

Most of us are very concerned about antibiotics causing mutations, leading to such things as the 'superbug' known as MRSA. What is not discussed enough, however, is that vaccines seem to be also causing mutations (not to mention a multitude of side-effects of which only 1% are ever reported).

These mutations are creating an army of ever-stronger viruses and bacteria that will soon threaten mankind on a level which probably hasn't been thought-out too well by these scientists and experts.

The headlines from mainstream sources below include admissions that certain vaccines are in-fact causing both viral and bacterial mutations, but the articles are framed in such a way that "newer" and "better" vaccines need to be created and/or introduced in order to stem the tide of mutations.  Keep in mind, however, that the more the boundaries are pushed, the more factors that will be set-in-motion of which cannot be foreseen or controlled.

Put simply - the "experts" are tampering us into total extinction on many different levels.

Now that there is a way to predict which amino acids are most likely to mutate into a more infectious form, vaccine designers could create vaccines that don't provoke such mutations. This understanding of the relationship between the antigenic site and the receptor-binding site could be added to the current methods of vaccine selection and vaccine designs to limit drift."

Abstract

In southern Italy, 44 contacts of hepatitis B virus carriers, including infants of carrier mothers, became HBsAg positive despite passive and active immunisation according to standard protocols. In 32 of these vaccinees infection was confirmed by the presence of additional markers of viral replication. In 1 infant, serious disease occurred. The virus from this patient is an escape mutant with a different sequence from that of the isolate from the mother.

The circulation of HBV encoding envelope mutations selected by antiviral agents requires further investigation to determine whether they may be transmitted and therefore represent a public health concern. This issue may be of particular relevance in populations where genotype A is predominant.

Despite widespread vaccination, whooping cough incidence is on the rise worldwide, making it the only vaccine-preventable disease associated with increasing deaths in the United States. Although this disease is most often attributed to Bordetella pertussis infection, it is also caused by the closely related pathogen, B. parapertussis. However, B. pertussis has remained the center of attention, whereas B. parapertussis has been greatly overlooked in the development of whooping cough vaccines.

A vaccine that has dramatically curbed pneumonia and other serious illnesses in children is having an unfortunate effect: promoting new superbugs that cause ear infections.

University of Iowa researchers found 19A accounted for 35 percent of penicillin-resistant infections in 2004-05, compared with less than 2 percent the year before the new vaccine came out.

DANGEROUS new strains of whooping cough bacteria are evading Australia's vaccine against the disease and entrenching a four-year epidemic that could spread overseas, Sydney scientists have found in research that raises questions about the national immunisation program.

Microbiologists from the University of NSW have found variants of the pertussis bacteria with a particular genetic signature have increased to 86 per cent of all samples taken from infected people after a continuing disease epidemic began in 2008.

Although the strains were present in Australia as early as 2000, they accounted for only 31 per cent of all samples collected between 2000 and 2007 – suggesting they have flourished alongside the current vaccine....

An acellular vaccine – introduced in Australia in 1997 after concerns about side-effects from the previous whole cell version – appeared to have promoted the spread of these variants, Dr Lan said, which overseas authorities had linked to "higher virulence on the basis of hospitalisation and case mortality data".

He warned that other countries using similar vaccines should be alert for shifts in genetic features detected in the whooping cough bug.

(Excerpt): A drug-resistant strain of pneumonia is the result of a highly-praised vaccine routinely given to infants three times in their first year of life, according to a study that will be published in tomorrow's Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). The timing of this study is particularly interesting, as it comes shortly after the replacement of the heptavalent pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV-7) with an updated version, PCV-13.

The study's introduction reads:

The rapid increase in multiresistant serotype 19A as a cause of invasive and respiratory pneumococcal disease has been associated in time with the widespread implementation of 7-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccination (PCV-7) inseveral countries. Because spontaneous fluctuations in time and antibiotic selective pressure may have induced this serotype 19A increase, controlled studies are needed to assess the role of PCV-7.

Vaccines aren't supposed to cause disease. But that appears to be what's happening on Australian farms.

Scientists have found that two virus strains used to vaccinate chickens there may have recombined to form a virus that is sickening and killing the animals.

"This shows that recombination of such strains can happen and people need to think about it," said Glenn Browning, a veterinary microbiologist at the University of Melbourne, Parkville, in Australia and one of the co-authors on the paper.

The combination of vaccine strains to form a new virus is "a problem that needs to be taken seriously," added Thomas Mettenleiter, head of the Federal Research Institute for Animal Health also on Riems.

The very vaccines used to prevent a respiratory disease in chickens caused several recent outbreaks of the same disease at farms across Australia, according to a report published today (July 12) in Science. Different weakened versions of a live herpes virus used in the vaccines exchanged portions of their genomes, resulting in virulent, disease-causing strains. This suggests that such in-the-field genetic recombination is more common than previously thought, and has implications for both animal and human health.

“I think that we completely underestimate the role of recombination in [vaccine] viruses,” said veterinary virologist Etienne Thiry of the University of Liège in Belgium.

Other herpes experts were less surprised. “The idea of creating virulent viruses by mutation or recombination of genes from avirulent ancestors is certainly not a new one,” said Jim MacLachlan, professor of veterinary medicine at the University of California, Davis. “Concerns have previously been raised about the genetic roulette associated with live attenuated virus vaccines. In particular, extensive use of such vaccines in intensively housed livestock creates an environment where novel virus strains rapidly can emerge.”

Dangerous Malaria Gives Researchers Concern

(Ivanhoe Newswire) – According to research from Penn State University, malaria parasites evolving in vaccinated laboratory mice become more lethal. The mice were injected with a critical component of several candidate human malaria vaccines that are currently being evaluated in clinical trials.

“Our research shows immunization with this particular type of malaria vaccine can create ecological conditions that favor the evolution of parasites that cause more severe disease in unvaccinated mice,” Andrew Read, Alumni Professor of Biological Sciences at Penn State, was quoted as saying. “We are a long way from being able to assess the likelihood of this process occurring in humans, but our research suggests the need for vigilance. It is possible that more-virulent strains of malaria might evolve if a malaria vaccine goes into widespread use.”

The research showed that more-virulent malaria parasites evolved in response to vaccination...

“Our laboratory experiments followed clues from theoretical studies and earlier experiments that suggested that some malaria vaccines could favor the evolution of more-virulent malaria parasites,” Read was quoted as saying. If candidate vaccines do not completely destroy all of the malaria parasites, the parasites that remain have opportunities to evolve. A mosquito could potentially transfer the evolved parasite from the vaccinated person into a new host in a process called “leaking.”

“Leaky vaccines create a situation that further fosters parasite evolution,” Read was quoted as saying.

The study found that the parasites that were causing worse malaria symptoms in unvaccinated mice evolved after consecutively “leaking” through as few as 10 vaccinated mice.

“The parasites that are able to survive in the immunized hosts must be stronger after having survived exposure to the vaccine,” Read was quoted as saying. “The vaccine-induced immunity apparently removed the less virulent malaria parasites, but left the more virulent ones.”

“Vaccines are one of the most fantastically cost-effective health gains we’ve ever had, so there is no question that we should proceed on all fronts to develop a safe and effective vaccine against malaria,” Read was quoted as saying. “At the same time, our research is revealing new reasons to proceed with vigilant caution.”

Read believes that vaccine researchers leading clinical trials should carefully monitor for parasite evolution at the vaccine target, as well as watch for mutations throughout the parasite’s entire genome.

“This sort of monitoring also should go on once a new vaccine goes into widespread use,” he was quoted as saying. “It appears that in a world with leaky vaccines, virulent pathogen strains can evolve. Different vaccines or other transmission-blocking measures might be needed to stop the spread of any evolved parasites.”

In the US, which has been using the pneumococcal vaccine, there has been a strain shift – strains covered in the vaccine are being replaced by more antibiotic resistant strains. Vaccine has simply made the problem of pneumococcal disease worse. Yet this vaccine is being pushed in Africa and Asia.
