It looks like the retail industry is really putting out some good deals for President's day. If you plan to buy anything online, do a search for a coupon code for that site and you're likely to score a coupon code for a better, President's Day, deal.
If you plan to go out to shop, go online to see if that retailer has a website, if they are offering printable coupons, or call the store directly ahead of your visit to see where to find their coupons. You could also ask if they have extra in-store coupons they can hold for you once you arrive. Happy shopping. :)

Permalink Reply by Tabby on February 18, 2013 at 10:02am I had thought about going out, but decided to stay in my pj's and stay home. I put stew in the crock pot and will just relax the rest of the day. I have a nerve hung up in my shoulder and I am still pooped from all that cleaning. LOL May look at some online deals though. Got hubby's b-day tomorrow and heading to Cattleman's for dinner. That's about the only time you can afford to go is when you get a free b-day dinner (or atleast a certain amount off your meal).

Permalink Reply by Tabby on February 19, 2013 at 9:37am Funny you mention appliances. Just got a new washer and finally a freezer (been saying for years I'm going to get a freezer).
I got both at Best Buy and was able to get them both at the previous weeks sale price. The freezer went $10 cheaper than what I paid and when delivered it had a couple dents (nothing bad or effecting the freezer) and they are sending me a $75 Best Buy Gift Card since I said I will keep it. Freezer is not seen and it was just a couple cosmetic dings.
A friend of my hubby said he's gotten great deals at HH Gregg. He's gotten a mattress set that was $2,000 for just over $1,200 and they sent him the wrong fridge once. With that they took a few hundred off the price he paid and let him keep that one until they delivered the correct one. He said just go in a talk with them because they don't just match the price elsewhere, they will beat it.
Doesn't hurt to ask the managers. Will be doing it again with a computer hubby wants. It's on sale right now, but the gift card will not be in till after the sale ends. I'll let you know how it goes. To me I rather keep using the desk top till it crashes. We have 2 lap tops (hubby's and son's) as back up. There is a third that was to be used just as such, but hubby offered to sell it to a friend at work. Been waiting over a month for that now. UGH!!
Permalink Reply by Jessica Rivera-Gutierrez on February 19, 2013 at 10:34am I went to hhgregg to get my set. I bought everything Whirlpool brand. I went with Whirlpool because I found that after all your warranties expire, you can purchase universal parts to fix your appliances. Other brands, you have to purchase straight from the manufacturer and are a bit more costly. Although I know Kenmore is awesome as well, you can purchase parts from Sears after warranties have expired and my Kenmore lasted over 20 years.
Whirlpool is currently offering a rebate on appliances on this list. http://ecr-rebateforms.s3.amazonaws.com/HHG%20WP%20Multiply%20Your%... I'm getting $500 back, $400 because I purchased 4 appliances on the list and an extra $100 bonus because my fridge qualified for the bonus. PLUS, hhgregg is offering $100 - $80 rebate on delivery charges. My sales rep (Glenn) gave me a really good deal, even dropping the prices down even more to make the sale. I can't remember if we qualified for the extra 5% off for using the hhgregg card, but we may have. During that part, I was chasing after my 5 year old that decided after spending 2 hours in the store, he had enough and wanted to go get some ice cream at Rita's... haha! :) We left daddy to finish it up.
Oh, one other thing to think about, if you purchase the extra warranties, I actually think Lowe's has a better deal on that end, cost wise. Just something to look in to. I spent just about my entire Saturday evening comparing deals and looking at customer reviews that I was over it and just went to hhgregg.
Can't wait to sit and stare at my new appliances though!
