Maybe they are going to replace it?

Why don't you try calling the City of Auburndale? I'm sure they will tell you what the plans are.

=-)

It's been moved to a temporary new location.  Eventually the plans are to build new courts, in another location.  The old courts being renovated to match the surrounding park and present use.  Progress.  Sometimes it works, sometimes not.  It's working well in Auburndale, as most city, civic and residents are on the same page.
Where is the temporary location?  There's a new gym and recreation center being built across from Hardees right next to the cemetery.  I don't know when it will be done, though.
thanks for the update on the basketball courts. Its a beautiful park and located accross from the police dept. give me comfort that my kids are safe. i never had such a nice park to play at when i was growing up. it makes u want to get the kids and go play. my oldest is 12 so hes past the playground area. i enjoy the shade and the y fi. thanks again and i'll set the misinformers i got my info from and ease thier minds as well.
I think the temporary courts are near the adult school on Bridgers.  But not sure.  I do also hope that Auburndale builds enough new basketball courts to meet both the current and future growth needs.  Which I'm sure they are planning.  One thing about Auburndale and its residents, they don't scrimp when it comes to taking care of its children and young adults.  Which speaks well of its leaders and also its citizens.
i think the park is beautifully done but wondr why the play area is so small.the rest is for just sitting and there realy isnt very many places to sit and no shade to sit inso whats the purpose of these areas except to look at.

I think the basketball courts are being moved over by the tennis courts. But not for sure. There is another basketball court behind East area adult school on bridgers that has been there for years but not many people play on it cause I dont think many know about it. I do think they should of made the playground bigger myself. And they tried to seperate the big kids from the little kids side but the big kids do come running over to the little kids side and the little kids get ran over sometimes. So I think they should readdress the park and plus the bathrooms are always nasty.
