Babysitting classes for teens and preteens
I represent the American Red Cross in Polk County and the Mid-Florida Region.
We've had babysitting classes available for teens and pre-teens for some time. We have a Babysitting Boot Camp (the next one is March 30-April 1, 2010), which includes every skill to engage children in safe, enjoyable games and activities, as well as training and certification in First Aid and CPR.
We've gotten a lot of good feedback from students over the years, but we'd love to hear back from you now. How has the class helped you out?

You are very welcome, Shawn! We have a lot of classes, but the Babysitting Boot Camp is more intensive, and only comes around once a season, so we encourage people to sign up when they can.

Please either call Alex Glenn at (863) 294-5941 x5440. The Boot Camp this Spring Break is from Tuesday, March 30 to Thursday, April 1 and held at our office in downtown Winter Haven. The cost is $125, which includes CPR and First Aid certification. Students receive a mini-first aid kit and a planner to get started.
