Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.
My hubby and I were wanting to take my son to see christmas lights and have never been in the Lakeland area for Christmas. We were wanting to know the best neighborhoods or area's to go to see lights?? Any suggestions would be helpful!! Thanks.
THE NAZARINE CHURCH ON LAKELAND HIGHLANDS.
There is a 55 + community in South Lakeland off of Harden Blvd. It is called Ariana Village. Basically most of the homes are decorated as is the clubhouse. You drive through and see all the lights and at the end Santa and Mrs Claus are there to give candy when you leave. We have taken my daughter the last 3 yrs, she will be 4 on the 22nd. It is a tradition to do it after her birthday party on Saturday, she loves it.
On Lake Miriam before reaching lakeland highlands, there are 2 streets, one is called Lancelot and the street right before that one. All the houses are decorated and it's just beautiful! On the weekends, some of the homeowners sit out and give out candy canes to the cars driving by. I've also heard Celebration is Orlando is beautiful. That community is all decorated for xmas and I do believe they have a special light display as well. Church of Nazarene is beautiful but they finished this past sunday with their Lights of Lakeland. Lake Morton in downtown lakeland is also beautiful.
Thank you!!! That helps a lot...we will have to go see some of them this weekend or maybe christmas eve :)
I will go with LED lights. They are bright and colorful
