Additional parking will be available after 5 p.m. in downtown parking garages and parking lots.

Here's more info at the above link. :)
Have fun!
Permalink Reply by Ashley Butler on November 30, 2011 at 10:35pm I would advise that you pick a place along the parade route that you want to sit, and then get your chairs/ blanket, etc out EARLY. I always set mine out around 9am... and there are already so many set out. If you do wait until it is time, you will most likely not get a spot. The Lakeland Christmas Parade is a big deal. :)
Permalink Reply by Shawn Spivey on December 1, 2011 at 8:28am I have to agree with Ashley's sentiments, Thanks for adding those, Ashley! I've never been to the Lakeland parade but I've had plenty of people tell me it is super tough to get a seat and your best bet to get one is to put your seats out early in the day. In fact, I ran into a beautiful mom at Marshalls in Lakeland the day this topic posted and she told me then and there she puts camp style chairs out the morning of and she was looking forward to the parade. I hear it worth the effort. I hope that all that decides to go gets good seats and stays warm. :)

If you think it will be too cold or too crowded tonight or just can't make it, you can watch the parade stream live at the Ledger.com. It starts tonight (Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011) at 6:30 p.m.
