Cooking Books For Kids

I hope this isn't a one sided discussion, as in, I'm the only mom out here that has children that love to cook. 

We find cooking as a project.  Something to build together and even play a little with as you go.  Rolling dumplings out of dough you mix yourself is right up there with play-doh fun. 

So, it's no surprise to me to see cookbooks that are geared, and/or appropriate for kids.

The Ledger online included a link about a Kid's Cook book today that I read with zest. 

Here it is, 'Bon Appétit!' Gets Kids Cooking.

Reading the angle of the famous chef, Julia Childs', climb to cooking stardom sounds inspirational and worth page turning to me.  She wasn't famous for nothing.  :)

A cookbook I recently purchased for my children as a combined birthday gift (their birthdays are 3 days apart) was this Alton Brown creation, Good Eats 3: The Final Years.

Even the cover was a hit.  Alton sports an Indiana Jones look (My Ryan LOVES Indiana Jones - shhh, so does his mother!) and he's holding broccoli to boot.   My children love broccoli.

The extra bonus?   There's a sock puppet kit included inside these pages.  What kid doesn't love sock puppets? 

This book is two thumbs up and five stars from our crew.

Are there any child geared cook books you would suggest?
