Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.
I am expecting my first child in April. I am looking for a good and affordable day care or home day care for infants. Any recommendations? Thank you.
Welcome to PolkMoms, Tanja and congratulations on beginning your journey into motherhood. :) I hope some recommendations come in for you. :)
I suggest searching on the DCF website. It will allow you to see recent inspections from the facilities in your area. You can get an idea on the quality of care by seeing if they have violations and how they responded to the violations.
I have used First Baptist Church of Highland City for 3 years now. The same people work there today (except two older ladies did retire and one new girl to replace) as when my children started. I highly recommend them.
I would suggest stopping in and doing a walk thru and if your happy have your new bundle of joy registered as the baby room might have a waiting list.
Best of luck!
Hands & Hearts Child Enrichment center is across from Traviss on Winter Lake Road. They have a great program and are rated 5 star and nationally accredited.
You can also call the Early Learning Coalition of Polk County to get some referral information on available centers.
Hi all! Thought I'd bring this thread back & see if anyone else has any other suggestions. I'm looking on the Southside or Downtown. Thanks!
