Here's a quote from the link,  Elementary school holds toy-gun exchange that I would like you to comment on:

"Playing with toys guns, saying 'I'm going to shoot you,' desensitizes them," said Hill (a California Principal), "so, as they get older, it's easier for them to use a real gun."

Do you agree?

Is this comment far reaching or right on the money to your opinion?

Do you allow your children to play with toy guns?

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. That statement is crazy. No study has proved kids who play with toy guns become dangerous when they grow up. And she calls herself an educator? That's all I'm going to say on this. Guess it explains it because she lives in California.

I saw this earlier and wanted to beat my head against the wall. I'm sorry, I do not believe for one second toy guns make children violent. So many of us played with cap guns, Nerf guns, etc and are fine. They don't shoot skin poercing projectiles, they can't kill the neighborhood animals, they're make believe.

Graphic bloody violent video games at a young age I don't agree with (actually at any age they are not permitted in my house) but the kinds of TOYS they were collecting do not hurt anyone and do not desentizize anyone IMO.

If toy weapons make kids violent, my brothers and I should be mass murderers.
