Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.
With school starting back up really soon I am trying to clear out the freezer and toss together meals. Once it is looking pretty scarce in there I can start doing freezer crock pot meals to fill it. Found a bunch of recipes on Pinterest and sites with helpful tips as well. With Jesse starting Middle School and the hours different from Elementary School I need quick, easy, cheap, and healthy meals. Between going to sit up at car rider line everyday, homework, he's got therapy on Tuesday afternoons from 4-5:30pm. From there I got to race home, get hubby's cooler packed for work, get him up, make him a quick bite to eat, get Jesse to get any homework done, and make him his dinner That is going to be my CRAZY day!!!
Figured I could toss some stuff in freezer bags for chicken stew, beef stew, chili, sloppy Joe's, soups, roasts, pork chop dinners, crock pot casseroles and other ideas. Should be fun. Now that the Farmer's Market downtown is closed for Sept I got to find another place to get my fresh veggies at a great price. Any ideas of where to go? I am on the north side by Dollar General Market on Socrum Loop Rd.

I did find leftover boneless pork chops in there so trying to figure out what I want to do with those. Will have to look online. Maybe sweet & sour pork chops over rice. Could put it in a cream soup and serve over rice. Will figure it out. If anyone has ideas please let me know.

Permalink Reply by Tabby on August 6, 2012 at 10:52am Kind of slacked off over the weekend with eating from the freezer. Friday we had lunch at Golden Corral which we were not that hungry at dinner, except Jesse. Saturday after Brighthouse ruining our day, hubby took us to Panda Express for dinner and Dairy Queen for dessert.
So time to get back on track and later will look through everything I have in there. Since my mom bought the chicken that is on sale at the Dollar General Market, I decided to make that today. Cut up some potatoes, tossed them into the crock pot, sprinkled some Lipton Savory Herb & Garlic soup mix, added the chicken on top and sprinkled the rest of the soup mix on top of that. Smells great in here.
Jesse did pick Mac & Cheese for lunch with ketchup. I pulled out leftover mac & cheese from the freezer, added a bit more cheese and squirted ketchup on it. Less food in the freezer...LOL
