Do any of you plan to do the same?
This story couldn't have a happier outcome. The little girl stayed safe and the attacker was caught. Hooray!
Glad the girl is safe, but WHAT was the mom thinking???!!! Letting a little kid go alone to the toy isle. Does she NOT remember Adam Walsh?? And these days it is so much worse. My kids never leave my side in a store and in a public bathroom, they place their feet under my door so I know they are there. Call me over protective, but with people like that man in this world---no child is safe!
Permalink Reply by Shawn Arnold on February 10, 2012 at 3:00pm I really agree with you 100%. I've been accused of being overprotective and the scene you painted with kids putting toes under the bathroom door is exactly what we do.
When I watched the video what was not only disturbing besides the obvious abduction attempt was after the little girl was put down, you can see her look around like she was questioning where (or more importantly, who!) to run to. It broke my heart.

My kids don't leave my side either...Walmart HELLO big store, lots of people...pay attention to your kids. At least they were smart enough to have taught the girl to fight. Still, a little girl ALONE....not very bright. Independent is ok but there is a line.
