Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.

I understand that living in Florida eliminates our idea of taking our children to a real pumpkin patch. However, does anyone know of a place similar to a pumpkin patch?? We would like to take our children on a fun fall day trip. Picking out pumpkins at the grocery store or the roadside fruit stand is getting old :-)

They do have a pumpkin patch at at church in lakeland... it wouldn't be an all day affair, however they have the bales of hay, scarecrows etc. Its downtown lakeland - i don't know the churches name (I think its lake morton baptist) located by the library and lake. Also they are doing a candy festival on saturday the 23rd at at the community church on the other side of the lake - you can kill two birds with one stone if you want!
ok - update.... http://www.firstumc.org/ but they have a fall festival too... and trunk o' treat....
There's also a good one outside of Eagle Lake on highway 17. That's the one we went to last year and they had a wonderful selection. We'll probably be making a trip out there this weekend as well. They're doing a big thing this weekend so it might be what you're looking for.

Our church in Mulberry is having a pumpkin patch. The hours are 10 AM to 7PM and 12:30 PM to 7 PM on Sunday. All the proceeds are going to local and global ministries. There is also a Fall Festival at Babcock Park in Mulberry on Saturday the 23rd from 5-8 PM.
I got an email from Indian Summer Farms in North Lakeland earlier today about their fall festival. This is a roadside fruit stand, but much nicer than most. Here is what the email mentioned for Saturday:
You can find them on Facebook as well if you want to see pics

Looking for a good time for the whole family?
Join us at Indian Summer Farms this Saturday from 10:00am to 4:00pm for our Fall Festival. We'll have our traditionally great deals on the freshest produce and home-made ice cream. We are having Bar-B-Q, Kettle corn and our delicious strawberry shortcake.
Fun and games for the whole family with Cake Walks, Bounce Houses, a petting zoo, a Monster truck and demonstrations from the Polk County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit, antique tractors, pumpkin decorating, hay ride and many more festival activities.
