Katie reportedly wants sole custody of Suri

I know sometimes divorce can be played out to ask for more to come to a middle road but I still find it somewhat interesting to see this alleged move by Katie Holmes being taken.

First, were you surprised to see this divorce filing?

Do you think Katie has a valid reason to want, or even, get, sole custody of her daughter with Tom Cruise?

Do you think this is just a legal maneuver used by Katie Holmes to receive more visitation with her daughter?

I'm thinking this may get pretty nasty. This is the first time a wife has left Tom Cruise, I wonder how he feels about this?

Okay, you all are being pretty quite on this subject and I get it. These people aren't locals we're likely to bump into anytime soon, but I can't help but take the mom approach in this story. Katie is a mom about to go through a large, and what will have to be, trying legal battle.

Are any of you jumping on-board with the Scientology angles being played out by many media outlets as a possible source of friction between this couple?

There's reports all over the web and television reporting this is already all over.

What a quickie divorce and custody settlement! Perhaps this will allow some healing to begin in their lives and, being done and over with, can only help Mr. Cruise's image. It seems likely this was played out intelligently by both sides. Along with the "done" reports is a supposed vow of silence for the agreement details. Speculation will be rampant.
