Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.

Is there any mommy and me groups?

Looking to meet moms with children to have play groups. I have a 7 month old little boy that I would love to let interact with other children and also for me to meet new people.

My kids are old, but I did want to let you know about Story Time at the Public Library. I'm not sure where you are located, but the Lake Morton Library for instance has summer programs for children. The library is one of the first places I met with a Mom's group when Ds was a baby, and it's free!

If you live in south Lakeland, there's a mommy and me type of group for kids 3 and under sponsored by Family InnerActions at tba Church. It's not a group run by the church. They just use their space. And it's free. I went once and would like to continue going as my daughter seemed to enjoy it. We've just been busy. Family InnerActions has a facebook page if you'd like more details.

The group at TBA church is run by juli Davis who use to run the mommie and me group that originallymstarted in Lakeland. Camille and I have met lifelong friends there and the group still gets together occasionallyn4 years later! It is an awesome group and it is growing rapidly!

Family InnerActions - Preventions First Steps meets two days a week. Tuesdays are for 18 month olds to 3 year olds and Fridays are for Newborn to 18 month olds.
