Lakeland OB/GYN or other Medicaid Obstetrics Provider

I'd like to ask the community for some feedback.  I recently found out that I'm pregnant with my 3rd child.  My insurance which is a private plan does not cover maternity services.  I know that I would qualify for the Medicaid program for pregnant women but I have a physician at Watson Clinic that I'm very comfortable with.  Would any of you recommend Lakeland OB/GYN and/or any other OB providers that would accept Medicaid?  Any feedback positive or negative would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

I saw the midwives at Lakeland OB/GYN with both of my pregnancies, and they were great. The office staff and nurses were always nice. I believe there are 5 different Midwives at the practice, but you can request to see only 1. It is better to get to know all of them though, because you never know who is going to be on call when you pop. But, with my experience, they were all great. Best of luck to you!
When I was pregnant with my daughter in 2008 I went to the Lakeland OB/GYN clinic as well, and I had a very very good experience there. As Krista said, everyone there was very nice and there are like 5 different midwives and every one of them were very great women. When it came time for my delivery, and my daughter was two months premature, the midwife on duty then came in and checked on me many times before I actually delivered, She was very sweet and made me feel so good about the situation. Overall I would highly recommend them.

I too went to Lakeland OB and see the midwives with my fist child, and I am now going there with my second due end of this month. They are all  great midwives. It is better to get to know all of them because you will not know who you will have when you deliver. Both my experiences there have been great. And after I had my son at LRMC,the mother baby nurses were so great an so patient.I unexpectedly had an emergency c-section after 17 hr labor, and was in so much pain and scared. They were soooo understanding an took extra good care of me!Goodluck and congrats!

I am 28 weeks pregnant and go to Lakeland obgyn. I've had many friends who have gone there as well. I have had a great experience so far.
