In anticipation of Legoland opening, kids and "big kids' are invited to create a Lego object, shoot a photo of it and enter it in our contest. Submissions will be accepted Monday through Sept. 25 at www.theledger.com/legocontest. Online voting will take place at the beginning of October. Two first-place winners each receive a $250 LEGO® gift card; two second-place winners each receive a $125 LEGO® gift card; and two third-place winners each receive a $50 LEGO® gift card.

Wow, Jennifer, this sounds great!   Thank you for letting us all know here at PolkMoms.

 

My children LOVE Legos; in fact I helped Ryan build a set yesterday I felt should have came with an honorary engineering degree, lol.   If truth be told, we are all kind of Lego geeks.  Obviously my own kids can't enter this contest but I know my own wee ones aren't the only Lego enthusiasts in our area- I look forward to scrolling through the submission gallery and we are definitely anticipating Lego Land's opening.  : )

Looks like the Legos are going to rule this week...lol  Our son is always creating weird things with his Legos.  I no longer put together any boxed set he gets. It starts off with me helping, then he gets bored so I do it all and afterwards he takes it apart and does his own thing with it.  I do agree with you Shawn that you do need a degree to put them together at times.  Pictures don't always help.  I usually have pieces leftover and hope that they are leftovers and wasn't supposed to be on there...LOL
Sadly we have no legos in our house!
