Who's going to see Magic Mike this weekend??  To avoid any issues, I'm going to have to wait till it's on Blu Ray...LOL  I would love to go, but it's okay.  A few of my friends on Facebook are going, but not telling their hubby's exactly what they are seeing.  I couldn't do that.  Hope whoever goes enjoys it.

Went on Netflix to find the dance movie Step Up on instant that has Channing Tatum and they took it off.  Seems to be a trend of theirs.  When Whitney Huston died they pulled the Bodyguard off instant and put it to disc only.  Whenever a movie looks to be a great release they pull that actor/actress other movies from instant.

I am also planning on going with my daughter-in-law and my husband and son knows what we are going to see, I don't understand why anyone would have to "not tell their husbands" what they are going to watch, it's the same as them going to Hooters to "watch" sports. I am so glad that I don't have that kind of marriage and I didn't raise my son's that way either.

I'd love to go.. oooh this weekend, I may have to since I won't have the girls!  I told my SO last night that I wanted to go see that movie when a commercial came on.  He didn't say anything, but my thinking is there are so many avenues that women are made as sex objects - I'm saying its about damn time that women get to see some "eye candy"!

I don't understand they lying either.  I wish I could go.  Since hubby is off Friday and Saturdays we try to spend alot of family time together.  Not the kind of movie to bring hubby to.  Hate to leave him here with our son and drive all the way to the south side to watch it by myself since my mom is working this weekend.

I was reading on Facebook from a post on a radio show page that most women are jumping to go see this, yet if there was a movie like this for men, the women would be ticked off.  I could see some maybe being upset if they did a female version and their hubby's wanted to, but I bet some of those women are ones that are going to see Magic Mike.

Way to turn the table on this discussion, Tabby.  So, so true.  I think there are plenty of gals that would be upset if a group of guys wanted to see a movie sensationalizing stripping women.

And Stacie, I agree with a giggle.  It is nice to see the table turned you mention. Men sexualized and viewed as objects on the big screen? Who would have thunk it?!  Well, who ever did will likely get a payout.  This movie is picking up buzz.

For me, I know the man meat looks good, but as fuddy dud as it sounds, I really need a decent story line too to want to shell out $ for a movie ticket.  I hope it has one.  For those that see it, do let me know.  :)
