Polk Moms

Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.

I have to say, that heading caught my eye.  It just seems too hard to believe a business

could take the top spot from McDonalds'.

Obviously I clicked into the link to get the dibs on who is the new number one.  I was very surprised by the answer, never would have guessed it.   I very rarely eat there. Frankly, it's probably been years since I have.

Are you surprised by who took the top spot?  Do you favor one over the other?

Hey everybody send me a friend request on facebook,Gene Johnson in Lynchburg,Virginia.  As we stated before we are planning to move to the Auburndale area but also considering Polk, winterhaven,:Lakeland,Kissimee, and Orlando.  We are looking to build a friend base since we will be going from one culture to a completely different way of life.

Hey Honey,

Floridians would vomit of boredom here in virginia.  There is nothing here that they are used to.  Plus life here is so controlled by social standings and what people expect you to be.  Food taxes, and other taxes that keep money in the states pockets and less in yours.  Floridians would not like the fact that you have to pay to get your car inspected ever 12 months, high rates on home owners isnurance, high rates on car owners taxes, and alot more.  The whole state sucks to high heaven and I was born and raised here.

Wow. I am really not that surprised by Subway. They are going everywhere, and we just love eating there. My little one just loves to eat sandwiches ( I am so glad). I can get him to eat healthier that way. As for them passing McDonalds- I am a little surprised there.... thought with McDonalds basically being every block or so. (lol-j/k) no one would ever top them. :)
I favor mcdonalds, noone can beat their fries.
we tend to favor Subway.  I love this place!!! I do not eat at mcdonalds but I do get there coffee :)

before I read the article, I guessed Subway, they are everywhere, but I am kind of surprised there are more of them than McDs

we love Subway, I would say we don't favor one over the other, just depends on what we are in the mood for :)

Interesting. It's been a few years since I've eaten at Subway, but I frequently get lunch at Subs 'n Such, a locally owned (and much better, in my opinion) subway shop in Lakeland.

I am totally surprised by this!  I do not like subway at all!  Bleh...their meats leave a lot to be desired..the quality plus the quantity!  You can just see the fat running through the ham and just not much on the sandwiches when they started the $5 footlongs.

When talking sandwiches, I have totally fallen in love with Jimmy John's downtown!  I love their Turkey Tom!  Turkey, tomato, and sprouts...totally yummy!  All for $4.85!

I eat quite often at Subway but I will not be going back to the one on Spirit Lake Road.  Their customer service is nonexistent.  Customers do NOT come first there!
