Polk Moms

Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.

I just thought I would share this pacifier holder that I found. I hear so many stories of moms taping pacifiers in their baby's mouth because their baby kept spitting out their paci. I just started using this with my baby and it holds the pacifier really well. I don't have to keep putting it back in his mouth all day long! The website is www.binkiebeanie.com  I really love this!!!

Here is a link to the website. :-)

It's cute.  I think it would be handy through the day when baby is awake in sight :)
I would just caution against using it at night or while baby is sleeping.  The AAP recommends not having blankets, any type of pillows or toys in with a child until at least a year of age due to suffocation risks.
I can't find anything on their site that mentions putting them to bed with this. My son has fallen asleep in his swing and carrier with his BinkieBeanie and I see no way that it can smother him or even get close to his nose or anything. Trust me, if it seemed dangerous in any I certainly wouldn't use it with my little one. It lays on his chest, not over his face in any way. :-)
Oh yeah, it didn't say anything about night time specifically but unfortunately that doesn't always stop people from doing it, or from simply not knowing the guidelines :)  Good for you for being safe!  Sadly it only takes a moment.
I have to agree with Terra---this looks like it could pose a suffocation risk.  The one picture on the web site shows the 'pillow' part very close to the baby's nose.  Not sure I would purchase this for my baby but it may work for others.

Actually it doesn't get that close to the baby's nose. I think the pic of the little boy is just taken from a different angle or something. The one of the little girl shows that it doesn't really come that close. Besides, the paci is in the way so that the beanie can't really even reach their nose. It isn't "stuffed" like a pillow, it has little foam beads inside. I think that's where they got the name "beanie", it's like a beanie baby type filling.
