I like to choose old-fashioned names, nothing too weird though. This way, they are unlikely to meet a lot of people with their name, but it is familiar enough that people don't tilt their heads or hurt their brains trying to spell them. :) But for middle names we have a little fun.

My daughters are Charlotte Moon and Mary Mitchell. Baby 3.0 has a name, but we won't share that until he is born in November.

Coming up with names is just so hard! I though it was easy with number 1 because we had the name picked out even before we were having a baby but, we do have a girl name in mind if it is a girl. Like you said you don't want to share until the baby is born that is how we are with this name.

Congrats! Here are some names I like....

Sven, Talon , Finn, Theodore, Lars

Portia, Annika, Danica, Ariel, Aurora, Priscillia, Vivien

I hope you like them! Alot of the names are scandinavian.

It is hard, a big responsibility even, to choose a name someone will be known as for their life.

But, it can be fun, too!

There are so many names that I had on stand-by and some I wanted to use that my husband didn't like.

I've been married twice and with both husbands I had children (the first just one).  They both wanted to be dominate in the naming department which I totally thought wasn't fair.  All my friends were naming their children with little to no input from the dads.  :)

I like family names.  I looked back into my family tree several generations and found some names I loved.  If my daughter would have been a boy her name would have been Duncan Arthur, both are family names.

As for girl names that were family names I loved were: Penelope, Bethany, and Charlotte.   My husband didn't go for any of those and decided on Lillian.   He liked the idea of her having a floral name because his mother did, too.  His mother's name was Violet.   Also, he wanted our daughter to end with an "N" because all of our other children do as well.  We have a Brandon, Austin, Ethan, Ryan, and Lillian.

So, there are several tangents you can run with when naming your kiddos.  Good luck deciding!

And, Congratulations on your new baby to-be!  :)   And, to you, too, Jennifer!  How exciting!  :)

Thank you everyone for the suggestions.!
