Does anyone know of a Organic Coop around polk county? I would like to try to find one, where I can buy chicken beef and produce. Thanks!  I know there are places in tampa but was looking for more of a co op around here!!

I used to belong to one based in Winter Haven. I no longer have the info because someone else took it over and it changed names, but some google searching should pull it up.

The farmer's curb market in downtown Lakeland sometimes has good stuff...even beef. Let us know what you find out. I may want to get back into that one day. It really did save me some money.

Thank you, I will let you know if I find anything!

I purchase organic produce from Annie's Buying Club. There are about 7 locations in Lakeland and I think meat is also available.

Thanks Jennifer! Looked so good I signed up for a half order every other week with the leafy add-on. I couldn't find the milk or dairy stuff, although there is mention of it on the sight. I'll just ask my coordinator at pick up. I wouldn't mind trying the grass fed, non homogenized milk. Sounds delicious!

That's great they have so many pick up locations. I was hoping to just pick up somewhere near downtown on my way home from picking the kids up at Lincoln which would be a lot easier....but due to Wednesday being early release day sometimes, I chose a different location closer to my house.

Thank you Jennifer for sharing. I appreciate that!

I'm glad to help. I get the Fruity Booty every other week with a staples add on. The organic part isn't huge to me, but I priced it and I would spend about the same about of money for conventional produce at Publix. Plus, this way, I get to stretch my self by trying new fruits or veggies.

I have a question, what do you do with your fruit and veggies? It usually goes bad within a week sometimes less? can you freeze it or how do you get the most out of it?!  Thanks for any help with this!

I try to plan my menus around it so it doesn't get wasted. Also, I think most things ought to be refrigerated to help them last longer. I remember that on the Annie's website it had something about storing your produce. Also, with ABC, the produce is fresher than what you can  buy in the store, so I find it doesn't go bad as quickly.

Great, thank you so much for everything!
