Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.
Went to Walmart this morning and noticed prices have gone up a bit again on some things. I still remember when pasta was 2 for $1 and now they raised the store brand to $1.08. I was looking at the bottom shelf where they have the egg noodles and found a bag for .86 cents. Same 1 pound size.
Had to pick up laundry detergent as well. Was going to get Tide since I have a $2 off coupon, but that was still over $3 with it. Went to the "cheap" section and picked up one for $2. Of course all the way on the bottom was one for .88 cents. I would have gotten this, but it really didn't have a fragrance to it and I would have to get fabric softener. Not bad though if you are on a tight budget.
Seems that some 88 cent items are not just in the Health and Beauty area. Of course they were out of the 88 cent ibuprofen and I forgot to go over and get the one for 98 cents. No biggie.
A couple months ago I printed up coupons for some soup mix in the Spanish aisle. It was for 50 cents off and they sell it for 48 cents. Made a 2 cent profit. LOL I also had coupons for the new Duncan Hines Frosting Creations where you get a free flavor packet. Walmart finally got it in and it's cheaper Publix (the other store I had found them in). I made 6 cents profit on the flavor packets. Walmart sells them for 94 cents and the coupon took $1 off. Every little bit helps.
