I am getting ready to have my little bundle in a few weeks. I would love some feedback on pediatricians in Lakeland. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do you like your doc and why? My OB recommended a Dr. Eanett in Watson south. Has anyone else used this doctor before?

I use Dr. Debra Ford at Kids First  Pediatrics in Lakeland.  When I moved down here in 2003  my oldest was almost 5 and that's when we started seeing her.  My youngest is 8  and been with her since birth!  Great doctor.  Highly recommend.

I just heard Dr. ford closed her practice. Anyone else hear the same thing?

I replied a few days ago about Kids First Pediatrics (Dr Debra Ford)  well Scratch that-  I just found out today she is retiring!   So now I am in search of a new pediatrician!

I too am looking for a new pediatrician since we also used Dr. Ford. I am not very happy that their office did not inform me of this closing but I had to find it out here. NO calls or letters were given out. My son went there a month ago and we had NO information about this closing.

I am thinking of using Watson Clinic for a family dr. instead of a ped. Does anyone know if Watson Clinic family medicine drs. will accept children?

I actually inquired about this recently with my family Dr (not taking new patients though) and was told he saw 2yr and up...I would suggest checking with the family Dr you are interested in though, it may be different with other Dr's.

I absolutely love dr schick in lakeland. It is a small private practice and there are 3-4 nurse practioners and 1 dr on staff. Very small and friendly! I went there as a child and she still sees me at age 22 if i cant get into my primary dr. I am due in May and will definitely be taking my little one there. They accept medicaid and virtually almost all private insurance policies as well.
