Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.
I am wanting to take my kids and my nieces to the shows at the library this summer, and my questions is for those that have been to the shows with younger children. Is it frowned upon? The ages I would have are 10, 8, 6, 4, 1.5 :), and 1. I just didn't know if they didn't want you to bring younger children. I was in there once when my daughter was 2 and the man at the counter mentioned to me that I could check books out online and have them delivered(which is awesome) so I didn't have to come in, and since then I have been very hesitant in taking my kids there, which is horrible for me because I would love for them to grow up loving books and the library as much as I do. Any advice on whether I should take them would be very welcomed :)

It seems like a waste of a lovely and expensive facility. We do LOVE Lake Wales Public Library - they are second to none! We go by several times a week!

I remember going to the old Bartow library and if you were in the kids section there was always a lady there and she was always happy to see you there and read whatever book you brought to her, I spent a lot of time on that rug. I loved trips to the library as a kid and would like to find a place that gives my kids the same feeling. I may try out Lake Wales or Lakeland.
