Recession contraception? Birth rate down in US for 4th year

Due to the economy being what it is, we've all cut back in some form or fashion: slashed vacations, eating out less, reducing errands so we don't have to fill up our gas tanks as often, and apparently cutting back having children.

With a four year downturn in birthrates in the U.S., as reported in this piece by NBC news, Recession contraception? Birth rate down in US for 4th year, these numbers could be on to something.
