Connecting moms in Polk County, Fla.

seeking something likely not available

but I'll ask anyway. My older son is back in school (thankfully), but my 3yo is left home and well, I worry about his boredom. I work full-time with a varied schedule. Day care isn't really an option due to cost. And while my husband is home during the day with him, he doesn't get the social interaction he needs and definitely the academics he desperately wants. (i.e. he knows colors, shapes, letters, sounds, has conversations)

looking for something in NE Polk County (we're literally at the Four Corners) that could be like a mom's morning out, 2-3 days a week but not necessarily same days each week.

He has a February birthday, so VPK is out til next fall.

There is some school's that offer free Pre-K,I believe the hours are 7:30am to 12:00 since husband is home during the day he call around. Good Luck

I've seen some (sporadic) dad's groups. Or would your husband be willing to do a "mom's" morning out - many churches offer those. Sorry I'm not much help - my youngest started K otherwise I'd try and plan some small group stuff - my son could have used some socialization while working on skills last year...
