Love making this.  I've made a Sloppy Joe Casserole with peas and used french fries.  I've also done a Cheese Burger one with corn with tots and fries.

Tater Tot Casserole

1 lb. ground beef

1 small  onion, finely chopped

1 can (10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup

1/4 cup  milk

1 cup frozen mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn, green beans)

1 cup  KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1 lb. (1/2 of 32-oz. pkg.) frozen bite-size seasoned potato nuggets

Make It

HEAT oven to 375ºF.

BROWN meat with onions in large skillet, stirring occasionally; drain. Spoon into 2-qt. casserole.

MIX soup and milk; pour over meat mixture; top with layers of remaining ingredients.

BAKE 45 min. or until potatoes are golden brown and casserole is heated through.

See, you have to leave the veggies out of this and eat them on the side or else it ruins the total awesomeness that is tater tot casserole.

I speak from experience -- except mine uses two cups of cheese (because cheese = awesome)

(it ain't health food, but it's good!)
I hear you about the cheese...We always add extra veggies to casseroles, soups, and stews here. Our son is a huge veggie freak...lol Will have to try to put veggies on the side if it does taste better without it. I just put them in because it's easy and less to wash (grinning).
