Typically people have a vacation day or two when the Fourth of July holiday comes along. I actually know a couple of people taking advantage of some of this time off to travel, visiting family and friends. Do you travel for the Fourth for family and friends, time to relax or to see a great firework display?

If you plan to stay local, here's a list of the Polk Entertainment Calendar for July that includes a lot of fireworks displays.
Where is it that you've been, local or otherwise, that does a grand fireworks show in your opinion?
I've heard Disney's displays are worth the drive over, do you think so?

I've been to Disney on any given night to watch their fireworks display with it crazy packed, I can only imagine how bad it would on the 4th. :o

I think the above rings true for many. When inquiring about fourth of July plans with some, I had some grumbles come back about the holiday being in the middle of the week not affording a long weekend. Did you decide to take some extra time off to have a long break?
If you're looking for a day trip, I've heard the St. Pete pier is a fun place to be on the Fourth.
