i'll probably go thursday or friday morning. anyone else?
I can only go on Saturdays.  I thought there was going to a Polk Moms, strawberry picking party towards the end of the month.  Anymore definitive plans for that yet, Shawn?
I can only go Saturdays too. Are they open on Sat?

For more information you would have to ask one of the owners, Lisa Bailey.

the first stall i stopped at this afternoon - in the produce/flea market just north of i-4 on 39 above plant city - had full , freshly-picked flats of huge , sweet strawberries at $7 a flat. i got 4 flats , could have shopped around , could have haggled..

but they are mighty good and worth the money not to pick...lol.

thats a great price ronald. the fruit stand by my house is 12 a flat and they were terrible and most of them were full or fruit flys. yuck.

i know my daughter will like to pick.

what day are you going courtney?  I bought some yesterday and they were oh so yummy.  I have 1 bag left of frozen from last year,  Time to restock. :)
Our field is open this week including saturday and sunday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The cost is 2 quarts for $1.00 which equals $3.00 per flat.
i'm going friday.i'm not sure what time yet, there are a couple more interested people.

Yes, we are definitely going to do a PolkMoms pick together, wild horses can't keep me away from that day!  :)  I called Mr. Wingate (the farm owner that hosted us last year) yesterday and left him a message.  I hope to hear back from him soon.  : )

When I talked to him a few weeks ago, he was eying the last weekend of March for us.  I will let you know as soon as I hear back from him.  :)

I promise to post updates in this PolkMoms Strawberry Pick 2011, thread.
