There are tons of great ideas to keep the kids learning over the summer. Experts agree that summertime learning is fundamental to preparing for the new school year. Thus preparing the children for testing and the challenges ahead. Whether FCAT now or Common Core in a few years, fundamental learning is key!

Summer bridge activities work well also. For example, a student going into 3rd grade would get the 2nd-3rd grade workbook.
